In the US it is public domain.
In the British Commonwealth, and some ex-British Colonies, it is under
a Royal Patent.

The Royal Patent is permanent.

In most countries, the copyright is 95 years from data of
publication.(Corporate authorship).

In some countries, the copyright will be for 90 years after the death
of the last person who created the translation.  For most countries it
is 70 years after the  death of the last person who created the
translation.(Individual/joint authorship).

The more pertinent issue is when the technological impairments end.
If the electronic text has Digital Rights Mismanagement, expect  them
to fail within a decade, with little to no chance of recovery.
