[Linux4christians] Suggestion and puppy question.

I have suggested a Linux4Christians-OT parallel list to do
just as you have suggested - and that idea was "taken under
advisement" by the list owner/manager.

I do not know if there are any plans to implement that, or
some alternative, at this time.

There is lots of info here, including how to deal with a USB
stick in place of a HDD: http://puppylinux.com/

The Puppy Forum is the best place to request solutions - and
is generally very responsive and helpful:
http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/

My installs are all Frugal but on an IDE HDD, not a USB
stick - for which I believe some special boot instructions
are required.

In case it helps here is my GRUB boot file, also with two
Linux options (in my case both are versions of Puppy):

# GRUB configuration file '/boot/grub/menu.lst'.
# generated by 'grubconfig'.  Thu Jul 30 04:04:52 2009
#
# The backup copy of the MBR for drive '/dev/sda' is
# here '/boot/grub/mbr.sda.32550'. You can restore it like
this.
# dd if=/boot/grub/mbr.sda.32550 of=/dev/sda bs=512 count=1
#
# Start GRUB global section
timeout 3
color light-gray/blue black/light-gray
gfxmenu /boot/grub/deep_stage1
# End GRUB global section
# Linux bootable partition config begins
title Puppy Linux 431 Frugal
root (hd0,1)
kernel (hd0,1)/pup431/vmlinuz pfix=fsck PMEDIA=atahd
PDEV=sda2 psubdir=pup431 pciehp.pciehp_force=1
pciehp.pciehp_poll_mode=1
initrd (hd0,1)/pup431/initrd.gz
# Linux bootable partition config ends\
# Linux bootable partition config begins
