  Which really seems odd, by comparison to the US Canada is very
leftist, and yet our Banks only suffered losses due to exposure to other
banks around the world.  No Canadian Bank has received money from the
Government of Canada, and none of them have failed.  Canadian Banks for
the last several years have whined and begged for less regulation and
lower standards by which to operate, and the various Governments have
refused, much to their (and their customers) benefit.
