[Linux4christians] OT: VERY, VERY good!

My problem with the man is that he is not honest. He lied (I know, a politician who's lips are moving) during the campaign, promising "change," "openness" and "hope."

Thus far, the only change I have seen is that he is ramming through all of the pork that the Democrats haven't been able to pull off for the last 40 years, and all under the guise of a "stimulus" bill. Everyone incuding the Congressional Budget Office is saying that it won't work. He's packing his cronies in to the deckheads, regardless of their status...Including putting someone in charge of the IRS who has major tax problems...

Openness? People (including people in Congress) were discouraged from reading the entire stimulus bill. When public support for the bill started to wane (because of some of the inane provisions that were not about stimulating the economy at all), he declared it an emergency, and implied that the country would implode if it wasn't signed immediately. Meanwhile, experts are saying that leaving the economy alone would be more effective than mortgaging the country so deeply that our grandkids and great-grandkids may not pay it off...No one has a clue the effects...

And hope? I hope they haven't done irreperable damage...

They show you how detergents take out bloodstains. I think if you've
got a T-shirt with bloodstains all over it, maybe your laundry isn't
your biggest problem.

Nah, there are many here who like Obama - we just aren't as vocal :-)
I know that Obama is not perfect and that I will not agree with many
of his decisions but the way I see it the president doesn't make all
the decisions himself (they are mostly make/enacted by advisors etc)
and so the most important thing for the president (or any leader) is
to provide leadership and confidence. I see the way so many have
reacted to Obama and am soooo happy that people are finding hope. The
times are bad (and will only get worse - see revelations ;-) ) and we
are in control of so little that all we can control is our hearts.
Obama provides a hope to those disenfranchised by previous leadership
- a hope that we can survive - one that over time I pray people will
realise is not quite enough and then move on to a much, much greater
hope ... Christ!
