[Linux4christians] real-time text

In our church, we plan to caption (output text) the sermons real-time. Then with internet connection in the sanctuary, one can see the captioning
anywhere in the sanctuary if one has a laptop. [All this is part of the hearing ministry - making life easier for hearing-impaired folks.]
The question is what is out there. I already searched some and didn't find anything acceptable. I don't want real-time word processor since
we want to be in control of the text (one person typing and the others follow). I know there are (sport) flash live scores, but obviously that for
scores, not texts. But the technology is there and I would be surprised if no one did it for text, maybe using flash or java. Ideally, the software
is OS-dependent (window, macs, linux, etc). Do you know of any such software?
