It was only well after Athanasian Creed was inflicted on an unwilling
priesthood, and an even more unwilling laity, that Trinitarianism
gained any degree of prominence. (IOW, it took until the late
eighth/early ninth century to stamp it out of the official priesthood,
and even longer to stamp it out of the laity.)
