Saturday - Read Matthew 11:25-30

Commentary

Jesus prays a praise to God for His Father still in Heaven 
for the ministry He has brought
to Earth. He then contrasts what He is offering to the 
people with the terrible man-made
religious burdens created and imposed by the religious leaders.

Reflection:

Have we celebrated the gift of Christ with praise?

Do we recognize the terrible weight of the world which make 
us “weary and burdened”
and have we allowed Jesus to remove and/or share them?

Action:

Today I choose to salute a saint (speak words of praise and 
encouragement about and/or to
a fellow Christian – preferably one for whom that is 
difficult), serve an unbeliever, and/or
sing a song of praise to God for my salvation. I will also 
choose one area where I feel
“weary and burdened”. because I have tried to handle a 
worldly challenge in my own
strength. and will allow the Holy Spirit to be my comfort 
and strength.
