[Linux4christians] ZIP & RAR files in Debian

Hello ...
 
 I have a question about unpacking .zip and .rar files in debian sarge.
 Is there one particular utility that handles these files well over all other utilities and if so how do I handle these files in linux?
 
 I noticed that KDE Konqueror opens zip files okay but then I cannot unpack the file from within Konqueror.
