I never suggested that anyone here would act in quite so rude a fashion.
However, I did suggest that many are pushing back on the idea of forums,
seemingly for no reason.

No one said you're supposed to be overjoyed. If you don't want to use them,
don't. But let's make sure we're being positive about their addition. It's
another tool in the toolbox. It may prove to be useful or it may not. The
only way to know is to give it a chance.

Forums take way too much time for me.   So I would definitely request that

I don't think that anyone has suggested that the email list go offline. Just
as with the forums, time will decide its fate. Perhaps the list and the
forums will co-exist. Or perhaps one will supplant the other. We'll just
have to dive in and see. :-)
