I am not making excuses. I pastor a church where some do not have the
requisite, according to you, education to understand. Not only do I pastor
such a church, I teach in a college, and the current crop of people coming
out of high school into college, (north america wide) do not have a
sufficient grasp of grammar to be able to work out what is being said in
much of the KJV.

Jesus, when he spoke to the people of Isreal, did not use the language
spoken in Isreal during Joshua's time. He spoke in the vernacular of the
people around him, so that they would understand what He was saying. Paul,
John, Peter, James, the writer of Hebrews, Matthew, Luke, all wrote in the
language of the people of the day, using expressions that they would
understand and immediately grasp. Some things were left unspoked (unwritten)
because they would have been understood unconsciously by the people to whom
they were writing or speaking. Should it be any less so for us?

You are selling both God and people *way* short here. I can tell you

I have. Many times. In fact, it is not *always* the opposite.
