[Linux4christians] {OT} For the Ham Radio guys on this list

My only exposure to the Ham universe was through my Grandfather (KD7LC... silent keys as of 1986) but I used to pore over his back issues of 73 and he taught me Ohm's law and how to solder before he passed away. I stll remember him listening to morse tapes for hours when he was applying for his license and sitting in his ham shack a few times, listening, fascinated that he could talk to somebody in the Maldives with no long distance charges :)
I still know very little about how radio works, but thanks to my Grandfather, I know what the lingo means and my respect for the hobby is great. God bless...
