True confession time. I use http://www.oswd.org/ all the time as a 
source of base material and hack from there. I learn a lot by 
experimentation and query. I find that approach particularly helpful 
when having to deal with CSS hacks that have to be done because of non 
compliant browsers. There are plenty of quirks associated with Internet 
Explorer or IE Mac 5 etc that require long hours of trial and error. But 
  to each his own ! :)

I'd be glad to work on the graphics end of it for you if I can.
