Two other configurations with different boot parameters
nonfb is no frame buffer - affects the way the screen is handled for the
boot messages
failsafe is a set of very conservative settings which should get the
machine to boot if it possibly can.
Have a look at /etc/lilo.conf to see the detail - this is the file from
which lilo is configured and the messages generated.
