I was persuaded to accept an administrative role
at a Bible college and served there over 3 years.
Most of the administrative tasks were vexations
to the spirit. Endless paperwork and unproductive
meetings, petty politics, and competing visions.
There were some creative opportunities which I
enjoyed but after 3 years it was clear that the
institution and God's call on the stewardship of
my time and gifts were at odds and I resigned.
I believe that God had me there for His reasons
and I served as faithfully as I knew how. I am
grateful, however, that He released me!
You may discover that this is your true calling
or something you must endure for a time and then
move to another task. We are His tools and He
moves us from task to task in His perfect time.
