I live in a VERY rural area of the USA. The vast majority of the 
inhabitants of our village are on 26400 dial up at best and 19000 at 
worst. I have installed ubuntu linux on several boxes and the users are 
happy campers. They're using linux and enjoying the benefits gratefully.
