[Linux4christians] Foobar on My Part

Well, it appears that you really SHOULD lock your machine down when you walk
away.

Several of us were talking about the foul words in OOo, and I was rather
disturbed because I know of some schools, and churches who will not be able
to use this as long as it presents these words like that.

Well, I did post the original message thinking of pressuring them to change
the way they offered the spelling words so those didn't come up, but that was
about it. After that I didn't get anything, and my Linux4Christians folder
was deleted. I'm not sure what all was sent, or what the list received, so
please accept my apologies. Ultimately it was my fault, knowing the
pranksters that I work with I should have known better.

I DO believe that the spell checkers should be changed for the sake of those
who will be restricted in implementing OpenSource software. Regardless of
what our stand may be God does call us to bear the infirmities of the week,
and restrict our freedom for the sake of others Conscience. And, even from a
worldly perspective, if we limit the ability of some to use the software or
we not being just as hard headed as proprietary software makers?
I did further testing in Word and discovered that if you type out the foul
word it will not mark it as misspelled, which means it knows of the foul
word, but it wont give that as an alternative to another misspelled word, and
that would be good enough for me.

However, from what Don was telling me in private some of my responses were
rather excessive.
