Hi folks, just letting you know there's a new ear on the list.  My
name is Mark Character and I'm in  Augusta, Georgia, currently serving
at West Acres Baptist Church (www.westacres.org).  I'm married to a
wonderful lady with a 2-year old girl, 9-month old boy, and one on the
way (just found out!!).  I usually work the sound board but fill in on
lights, computer, video, etc. (sometimes at the same time) whenever
our small volunteer staff has a hiccup.

I started experimenting with Linux using RH 5 on a 486 while I was in
college.  Since then I've been keeping up with the current state of
things and have recently been able to experiment with the newer
distributions through some work activities.

I really feel as if God is leading me to do more with my technical
gifts and Linux seems to be the perfect vehicle because of its "free
as in salvation" status, not to mention its technical competance
(superiority?).

So, I guess the gist of this is to let you know I'm listening and
praying and if you have any questions you think I can help with, feel
free to shoot me a message.
