First off, welcome to the list! We're privileged to have you. Frankly, I
was afraid the rest of the list would have already chimed in! ;)

There are several projects you can participate in. One thing to consider is
reading GNU Believers, either on NewsForge or grab a copy from
matheteuo.org. That article will introduce you 'round the community. The
Ichthux project is a Custom Debian Distro, and might be interested in
someone to help maintain the website. I would highly recommend getting
involved over at OS Ministry.com, as the webmaster over there (Bob Brown)
also participates in the Christian Webmasters site.

You might want to take some interest in Python & PHP, as they are pretty
important languages to know - and easy to learn. I'm just not a serious
hacker - probably not even a very good wannabe hacker. ;) The Church
Website In A Box (CWIAB) may be looking for help - I don't know.

The Freely Project and the Christian Open Development Network may list some
additional sites as well. I hope this will get you started in the right
direction.

Blessings,
Don
