Try using the apt-get & yum combination. It's very good at resolving
dependancies. For example, I was having a very difficult time installing
the open-xchange system on FC3, but when I setup yum & apt-get with the
appropriate repositories, the install went swimmingly.

apt-get http://atrpms.net/
yum http://linux.duke.edu/projects/yum/

Good luck and God Bless
