[Linux4christians] beer?

Just to throw a little gas on the fire... My
understanding from several folks that study these
things is that the wine in the Bible was fermented
in varying strenghts and mixtures of water and
wine. Thus you had "wine" that was more for
sanitary and poor water conditions and then "wine"
that was stronger for the purpose of getting
drunk. This explains the dual attitude towards
drink in the Scriptures. There are strong
admonitions against strong drink and drunkeness
and may other casual references to wine where it's
obviously considered a normal thing.
"People say I take the gospel too seriously, but
do they really think that on judgement day Jesus
Christ will say, 'Len you took me too seriously'?"
