Greetings everyone!

I think this is fairly important for all of us who are using and
advocating FOSS to speak up for the growing community and send out some
letters to the publishers (copyright holders) of various bible
translations to encourage them to make their modules available to us.
We're willing to pay for the modules, but we would like to be able to
pay to use the modules. Right now, we can purchase modules for use with
the On-Line Bible (an excellent free Windows app), but not Sword-based
applications.

Some of us may not feel comfortable writing letters. That's o.k. The
Sword folks have form letters/templates you can use so that you don't
have to make an idiot of yourself (or feel that you are). They might
also be good to look at so you don't start flaming the publishers. :)
We're not trying to be contentious, but just want to seek their
cooperation so that we, too, might have access to solid, modern
translations. The more people who write, the better our chances of
getting their attention.

This link will get you to the main copyright page. From there, you will
find a link to the form letters.

Yours in Christ,
DC Parris
