I figured I needed to give an update to this "little" project.
The last two weeks has been, for the most part, unproductive due to events and activities within (and around) our church. Several of our youth that was helping have since had to go back to their respective homes because of the new school year.
Thankfully it appears that some others are showing interest in the project and are willing to help.
Some area church support has dwindled and some pastors have stated their opinions to the effect of this project being "unnecessary" and "frivolous". As I was "venting" to our pastor informed me that he was having broadband installed and it would be at my disposal for this project (thank you Pastor Lyle).
The local Christian radio station has not returned telephone calls lately. They were to be a primary sponsor for hosting and bandwidth. I have a meeting scheduled with the station manager at the end of this week (surprisingly enough on Friday the 13th) to discuss this matter with her.
That said, I am confident that this project will grow and be a tool to help spread God's word.

Current CD information:
This release is basically a remastered Knoppix 3.4 cdrom. It will feature all the hardware detection of Knoppix.
The packages will (mainly) be pulled from Debian Sarge (Debian 3.1) and feature Sarge sources for Apt (or package manager of your choice).
Currently the cdrom is about 600MB in size, but that will change by the final release.
KDE is the current default desktop, with options at boot time for Icewm, Fluxbox, and others. The options should help older and slower machines.
Links to Christian websites are being compiled and will be placed in the browsers.

Future cdroms will most likely be focused around the Morphix distro. This will make it easier to update/customize and help make the project more distinctive. An additional benefit should be a smaller size which will help in downloading/hosting.
I hope I can count on L4C members for some support in this matter. I will keep you updated (at least weekly) on happenings concerning this project.
Thanks for your patience,
Preston Boyington
