Two hours until pumpkin

It was my birthday this past weekend, actually Sunday; but we celebrated all weekend of course! Who wouldn’t? Anyway, we went up to visit my parents who took us out Friday night and then had a cake for me afterwards (which we did not get to partake of because Avery fell asleep as I was playing Super Smash Brothers Brawl for the Wii; so we had to wait until next morning).

As you can see from the picture I can only be a two hour Linux geek from now on. I guess I will turn into a pumpkin. The cake was funny and tastey too. My parents were not too pleased that they messed up the message. Dad was baffled over the stupidity of some people. All-in-all it was a good time though.

This was not the first time a company got something wrong with a name or message. My parents got me a monogrammed pen and pencil set for Christmas one year and they spelled my first name Dann instead of Dan. That was fine by me in the long run as I adopted the new name.

Well, I am 36 now and I have to go be Linux-y or something for two hours. Have a happy!

  1. You sure your family isn’t secretly telling you that you can only be on the computer for two hours at a time?

  2. Hmmm, I never thought of it that way. I hope they are not hinting at that, it would make me sad.

  3. OK – I’m either feeling the affects of this flu and medicine or am incredibly dense. What was it *supposed* to say?

  5. Too funny. This is similar to the infamous Wal-Mart cake. Google for “cake under neat that” for more info.
