The mouse buttons, by default act in this manner.
  • Left = Select
  • Middle = Window Menu
  • Right = Root Menu
Look at the picture below to get a feel for what the different menus look like.

Hey!

How did you get two root menus?

That was simple. If you open a root menu by right-clicking on the root window, then left-click on the root menu title bar, the root menu will become sticky and follow you from desktop to desktop. If you right-click on the root window again, another root menu will appear, but this one cannot be made sticky, and will disappear once you release the right mouse button.

When you bring up the root menu with the right mouse button, the menu will remain on the screen until you select an item from the menu, or right click anywhere else on the the root window (no inside an application window). The root menu will follow you around the virtual desktops until the right mouse button is clicked again on the root window.

These same features hold for the window menu. If you left click on the title bar of the window menu, it will become sticky. You will then have to close the window menu using the "X" in the upper, right-hand corner. Also, like the root menu, you can make the window menu disappear by clicking the middle button on an unoccupied space in the root window.
