  • Drag the icon by the upper, right-hand cornor to the dock.
Simply double click on this icon to bring up the WPrefs tool. Scroll right and select the Root Menu Configurator icon. The WPrefs Application Menu Definetion window has the basic instructions to make additions, changes, or deletions from your root menu.

Three basic options are offered on the left side of the the Application Menu Definetion Window. These options are selected by dropping down the arrow. The choices are as follows:
  1. New items: Design new items for the root menu
  2. Sample Commands: A list of pre-configured commands (xterm, run, gimp)
  3. Sample Menus: A list of pre-defined menus (Redhat, Debian, Themes)
Note: Some of the pre-defined menus or commands may not be useable on your system without acquiring the appropriate application or distrobution. For instance, there is the xv (X image viewer) program which may not have been included with your distribution. Putting this command on your root menu and trying to execute the command will produce the respective error that the program cannot be found.
